The classes and workshops after lunch will follow the following themes with options of classes to choose from within those themes:
12:45 Tools for Truth: how to seek for Right and Truth--three choices
Class 1: Creating a Spirit-led Learning Environment.--Becky Edwards
Class 2: How to use themes, time periods, classics, principles, and passions--Julie Johnson and Marni Hall
Class 3: The Power of Core Class: how using this class effectively can create a passion that will make them push themselves to do the hard stuff! --Mary Biesinger
1:45 Mentoring: Three choices
Class 1: One on one mentoring: empowering effective parent mentoring--Genevieve Peterson
Class 2: Mentoring in the class: including how to help youth mentors and youth presidencies-Marni Hall
Class 3: Mentoring through Inspirements: what is the purpose of the inspirement, how to write them, and how to make them meaningful--Julie Johnson and Karen Bates
2:45 Creating a Peer-Inspiring Environment:
simulation led by Marni Hall with Mary Biesinger
4:15 A Look at the Lenses: how to use the lenses and mentoring to help the youth gain a passion for learning and uniquely apply principles
We will have four "mini-classes" as examples of how each of these classes might run in Vanguard, one for each lens. Each lens may be split into two discussion groups:
Leadership- Marni Hall and Becky Edwards
Geo-conquest- Julie Johnson
Eureka- Mary Biesinger and Karen Bates
Imaginative Arts.- RaNae Housholder and Genevieve Peterson

6:15 Final presenter: Neil Flinders, author of "Teach the Children: an Agency Approach to Education"
Closing ceremony and remarks-- end at 7:30.
Each class will have something for you to read or do to prepare to attend. Doing so will greatly enhance your experience as you come prepared to share what you have learned! Experience learning, Vanguard-style!
